Ulladulla is bordered by the Budawang mountains,
part of the scenic Morton National Park. There are plenty of beautiful
nature trails through the park with the most famous being the Pigeon
House Mountain Trail. In addition to these park trails Ulladulla
is lucky enough to have two cultural tracks close to town. They
give an insight into the history of the aboriginal people of the
area as well as some spectacular views.
Pegion
House Mountain Trail
Pigeon House Mountain trail is a moderate walk through Morton National
Parks with resulting spectacular views. It is a must for any keen
nature enthusiast or photographer. The walk itself is 2km's long,
steep in parts and is completed with a series of steel ladders up
the cliff face (not as scary as it sounds). Once up the ladders
you enjoy an almost 360 view of the Ulladulla area including the
coastline and the Budawang mountains. It can only be described as
breathtaking and these views more than make up for the tough walk.
Pigeon House is about 20 minute drive from Ulladulla and takes about
4 hours to walk. More Information

Nulunga Cultural Tracks
Ulladulla is fortunate enough to have two significant aboriginal
walking tracks close to town. On both headlands surrounding the
harbour are these two cultural tracks which give a perspective of
the history of Ulladulla and how the development of the first timber,
and then the fishing industries, affected the Aboriginal people.
These messages are conveyed through over 40 wooden storyboards and
numerous aboriginal art pieces that align the tracks. In addition
to this cultural insight is the spectacular views available alng
the tracks. Some of the track has disabled access and the walk shouldnt
take more than an hour for each track.
